Mark Yakich’s poems "I'll Take 'Notable Artists of the 20th Century in Couplets,' Please, Alex" (Volume 27.1) and "New Pathways to Peace in the Middle East" -- were published as part of his recent collection, The Importance Of Peeling Potatoes In Ukraine (Penguin 2008).

Anis Shivani, whose story, "Dubai" was published in The Pinch (Volume 26.2) and won Pushcart Special Mention, is due out in September from Black Lawrence Press.

Michelle Seaton’s “How To Work a Locker Room” (Volume 28.2) has been selected to appear in Best American Non-required Reading 2008, published by Houghton-Mifflin.

Ander Monson's "Solipsism" (Volume 27.2) was selected for The Best American Essays 2008.

Congrats to Anis Shivani, whose short story. "Dubai" (Volume 26.2) was shortlisted in Pushcart Prize XXXII.

Ned Stuckey-French's "South Side" (Volume 26.2) and Vivian Wagner's "Under the Gun" (Volume 26.1) were both shortlisted in Best American Essays 2007.

The Pinch covers, designed by Gary Golightly, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at The University of Memphis, have received Awards of Excellence from The University & College Designers Association 38th Annual Design Competition. His work was displayed at UCDA Design Conference in Savannah, October 4-7.

Dinty Moore's new memoir, Between Panic & Desire, includes "Number Nine," which first appeared in The Pinch (Volume 27.2).
